The spearhead of the Feel Our Hearts campaign is the collection of several types of handmade and digital submissions by Haruka & Rin fans from all over the world—which will be put together in a mook-themed scrapbook and delivered to the Kyoto Animation staff at their main physical store in Kyoto, Japan! All received works will be carefully distributed and decorated along the pages of our chosen scrapbook in order to illustrate our love towards these wonderful characters & the show that tells their story.

Our aim is for everyone to be able to contribute, regardless of their area of expertise, with messages and/or artwork that shows our gratitude to the Free! and Free! Eternal Summer staff.

The submissions we’re looking for are as follows:

Handwritten messages—write and decorate a small thank you message to the KyoAni staff!

Traditional and/or digital* artwork—draw Haruka & Rin to show your gratitude!

Pictures* of your Haruka and Rin merchandise—but try to include a recognisable landmark that represents your country (or some well-known food/souvenir/etc.) in the background to help give the campaign that international touch. Get creative!

❤ Anything else you can think of to show your appreciation! Want to prepare a Haruka & Rin themed meal? Make origami? Go ahead! You can always contact us with any questions or suggestions, and we’ll try to give you the green light to proceed!

(* digital art must be printed in order to be included in the scrapbook)

Our main theme is gratitude for everything Haruka & Rin, so let your imagination fly, and show your love!

Submission Rules:

One submission per person. (This applies only to scrapbook submissions – you are free to participate in all other parts of the campaign as much as you like.)

All submissions—regardless of their type—should be sized 13×18 cm / roughly 5×7 inches. (And at 300 dpi resolution—for digital work.)

❤ The deadline to get your submissions sent in will be December 1st. This means all submissions must arrive at the designated address BEFORE December 1st. No exceptions will be made—as we’ll need the time to assemble all the pages in the scrapbook! [The mailing address will be revealed at a later date]

❤ Submissions must be Haruka & Rin-centric.

❤ Since the goal is to hand the scrapbook in at the KyoAni Shop in Kyoto, all submissions must be family friendly / G-RATED. Unfortunately this means that kisses, and any other suggestive/explicit themes will be rejected. If you are unsure about what this entails exactly, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d be glad to help and/or explain our reasoning further.

Please keep your messages short—because there is no way to be certain that the Kyoto Animation staff will be able to read messages that aren’t written in Japanese. Please try to write short & easy to comprehend sentences (even if you’re using English). If possible; try to write in caps or a simple, legible handwriting.

❤ Alternatively, for those of you who wish to try some Japanese, we’ll be sharing some stock phrases for you to use on your messages soon!

❤ Keeping the above rule in mind; feel free to include a small “Thank you!” in your native language, as well as in English, to make your message extra special.

❤ We encourage you to decorate your submission, but please try to avoid using exceedingly thick stickers—this will help us keep the scrapbook more manageable. To avoid any allergic reactions, please refrain from using perfume on your submissions (e.g.: scented paper), as well.

❤ While not mandatory, you can help us give the scrapbook a very international feeling by adding a theme to your letter or drawing that’s specific to your home country! For example: if you live in France, you could draw Haruka & Rin standing in front of the Eiffel tower—or if drawing isn’t your thing, you can use red/blue/white decorations in your letter. Please try to give your submission a little country-specific touch!

❤ Before sending your submission in, please scan your work (if possible; take a photograph if not!) and send us a copy via the submission form. [To be opened at a later date] We would like to not only avoid the risk of having submissions lost/stuck in the mail, but also to display all submissions in our Galleries—so everyone can access them even after the scrapbook has already been delivered.

❤ There are currently 92 slots available in the scrapbook, but we’ve already planned ways to create more space according to everyone’s response! So please take your time, every single submission we receive will be featured in the end!

We look forward to receiving all of your messages! Sign up and help us put together the best scrapbook anyone’s ever seen before!
