Feel Our Hearts reached KyoAniDo!

Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you’re all off to a fantastic start in 2016. As you may already be aware, KyoAni opened a brand-new English website for all their overseas fans. Isn’t this amazing? Here at Feel Our Hearts, we were so happy to see it. We were happy simply by imagining our campaign might have been just a tiny part of this announcement. But that was not all!

We’d like to share our happiness with all of you, because our love and effort reached the KyoAniDo staff!

On January 4th, 2016, the Kyoto Animation and Animation Do staff posted a public thank you to overseas fans for their letters on their website and on their official twitter account. What’s more, a picture of our scrapbook, message book, and postcards was included in the website post!

But there’s more! The post on the website has now been edited to show that the staff has read all our letters and is very thankful for them!

We’d like to thank all of you for your kindness, your time, your effort, and all the love and dedication you put into participating in this campaign with us. We could not have done this on our own! We’d also like to thank all of the translators that worked with us to open this site to as many fans around the world as possible, to all the artists who kindly allowed us to use their art on this website and our social media, to everyone who did their part to help spread this campaign and reach as many people with it as possible. To everyone who worked with us, to all of you who shared your love with us so we could deliver it at KyoAniDo’s doorstep.

It was our humble wish that KyoAniDo would be able to see and feel our gratitude for everything they have done for us, for giving us Free!, and Haruka & Rin, and for always being open to listening to their fans’ wishes. We’re very grateful for KyoAniDo’s staff’s loving response to us overseas fans, and for them taking their time to share the sentiment with us, as well as looking through all of our messages, pictures, and art. We feel very lucky for the effort KyoAniDo has made to make their gratitude reach us.

Once again, thank you so much to everyone who joined us! We’re very proud to say our campaign was a complete success! The staff of KyoAni and AniDo really did Feel Our Hearts!

First Postcard!

Here’s some exciting news from our crew member @ebe-bee in Kyoto:

Our campaign’s very first postcards have now been delivered to the staff at the Kyoto Animation headquarters in Japan~! :D (One was personally handed over to the pleasantly surprised staff at the KyoAni Shop & a second one was left in the office’s mailbox!)

Of course, the staff there had already been semi-notified of our plans a few months ago (because @ebe-bee helped us make 100% sure they wouldn’t be inconvenienced by any aspect of the campaign way back during the original planning stage!)  — but they’ve now received a physical token of our intention to deliver them a very special package in December! ❤

There really is no turning back now, so do help us show KyoAni a sight they’ve never seen before by [SIGNING UP] and sending something in before the December 1st, 2015deadline! Who knows, you might even win one of our prizes! :D

It’s a stampede!

Need a little extra motivation to send in a postcard for our [POSTCARD CAMPAIGN]? We’ve got just the thing for you — the Feel Our Hearts campaign now has its very own stamps! ❤

All of the postcards we receive sans stamp will be decorated with these awesome stickers to give them a slightly more authentic look! :D (Of course, it’s more than all right to use realstamps on your postcard(s) if you’d prefer – or you could even design your own if that’s what you feel like doing!)

Feeling inspired? There’s still some time left to [SIGN-UP] and send us a postcard of your own! :D The deadline for submissions to make it into our mailbox is December 1st, 2015.

Here’s a big shout-out to the 4 members of our stamp-relay team: “thank you!” to @tiburinfor creating our 200% awesome logo; @hinalilly for designing the beautiful stamps;@gettinglostinneverland for printing them all out on sticker sheets & @shimizu-k for providing the necessary pinking shears!

Scrapbook Relay!

imageedit_8_2235065229 withmessages imageedit_15_3847244661

Those of you who follow us on our [TWITTER] have probably already seen a little sneak peek of this before, but we’re finally ready to announce it properly:

If you & a friend have both signed up for our [SCRAPBOOK PROJECT], then you can team up to fill a whole 30x30cm page together — the way sexuallyfrustratedshark & matsuoka-lin have done in the example shown above!

Let’s call it a Scrapbook Relay… ;)

Here are a couple of simple guidelines to keep in mind:

❤ You & the friend you’ve teamed up with technically don’t need to live in the same country. You can send your submissions in separately if necessary — but you will have to make sure to include a little note explaining who you’d like to be paired up with in that case!

❤ The pages of our scrapbook are 30cm x 30cm. You are free to divide this between yourselves & use 99% of the available room any way you like. We only ask that you leave a little space for the “base” paper of our scrapbook to show through. (As you can see in the example, the navy blue of our base paper is still visible in some places! That is the effect we’re going for — to ensure the scrapbook will retain a unified look overall, despite the many different materials used.)

❤ As you can probably tell from the previous rule: PLEASE DO NOT GLUE ANYTHING DOWN YET! The likelihood of such a large envelope getting damaged or creased in the mail is far too big — and our scrapbook already comes with all the mook-coloured pages we need anyway!

Instead, send us all of the separate pieces you would normally glue down & leave the actual attachment work up to our team. We promise it will be done with the utmost care. (You can even send us a picture of how you’d like the layout of the page to look—we’ll copy it as well as we can!)

We know this makes things a little tricky, but we feel like keeping all of the base paper the same type & thickness will give the finished scrapbook a much nicer — unified — look. As you can see in [THIS NEWS POST] our scrapbook has three different coloured base papers: red, blue & off-white.

When mailing your submission in, you can add a request for us to use one of the available pages in the colour you like most. We will try to match the pages with our received submissions wherever possible! :)

If you really want to glue things down already, you can do so on a 29x29cm piece of paper. However, please make extra certain the page won’t get bent or damaged in the mail! You’ll be sending it in at your own risk…

❤ We understand these rules can be a little confusing, so please don’t hesitate to contact us at feelourhearts@harurin.net, or use the [CONTACT FORM] if you have any questions! ❤

If you can’t find anyone to team up with, please don’t worry — the team will do their best to ensure all pages of the scrapbook look equally nice! :)

That being said, anyone who wishes to help us in that endeavour is free to send in any and all scrapbook materials they wish (along with their submission, or otherwise) — for example, we could always use more stickers and adhesive tape. Small scraps of patterned or printed paper are more than welcome too. The team has a couple of differently sized cherry blossom punches we could use on those!

Remember that you have to have [SIGNED UP] in order to have the address to which you can mail everything!

Digital Submissions Open!

To celebrate this big success, we’ve once again added a new postcard to our [POSTCARD TEMPLATES] lineup:

It’s a stunning (episode 12-inspired!) design that was made for us by axym-xiv—complete with mook bracelets! :D

We’ll begin by sending out an e-mail with all of the necessary information to all participants who have signed up so far—and soon we’ll open a submit form on the website for everyone else! We’ve finally settled on a suitable scrapbook for the campaign!

The Feel Our Hearts team has finally settled on a suitable scrapbook for the campaign—and of course, this means we’re ready to unveil our objective for this section of the project! (With a big thank you to our team member Ini for letting us use her art as an example!)

The scrapbook we’ve chosen has 100% stunning navy blue faux-velvet details, which makes it look super fancy! As you’ve probably already noticed from the navy, dark red & beige pages on the inside: we’re currently working on customizing it with out very own Haruka/Rin mook-inspired design! We’re very excited about it, so please look forward to updates!
